At 9:00 AM,
the State of the Industry Property & Casualty panel will commence. Former
IIAT Education Director Paul Martin will moderate the panel.
The Panel will begin with an introduction of the panelists
who will discuss the state of the industry. Then, there will be a discussion on
what agents look for in a company and what companies look for in an agency.
This panel will discuss the differences in generations and how to manage the
differences, how to attract new people to the industry, technology and the
generations, and communicating with different generations. There will be time
for questions and comments and this panel will conclude at 11:00AM.
Meanwhile,
the trade show will be open in the exhibition hall. It is exclusive to 100
designated vendors and associates that are most suited for attendees. The trade
show will be open from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The
National Alliance Conferment Ceremony will follow the panel, and will be
presented by Dr. William T. Hold, co-founder and president of the National
Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.
Attendees
will have three special programs to choose from in the afternoon. The first
option is a Life & Health Industry Panel. This session is designed to help
explain the basics of the Affordable Care Act and what to expect in the next 12
months. It will be moderated by Misty Baker, SGS.
The second
option is a special session, selected for all agency and staff providing an
Applied Systems update. A lot has been happening at Applied Systems. This
session provides an update on the direction of insurance technology, and how
Applied is innovating to power the business of insurance. In addition to
reviewing Applied’s cutting-edge solutions, they will discuss the top 5 ways to
optimize your agency’s insurance technology. The presenters will be Sarah
Ratcliffe, CIC, SPHR, and others.
The third session will cover just a few of the
basic “Tips and Tricks” of AMS360 and explore some of the features that are
under-utilized in the system. Take
advantage of the Out of Office feature and the Import / Export of large data
schedules to simplify the task of data entry.
Everything must be documented in the system – allow the Contacts feature
to do this for you.
This year’s
keynote speaker is Ryan Estis, a business performance guru who has
recently been rated as a Top 100 speaker by Meetings & Conventions
magazine. Ryan will focus on key generational and technological issues in
the workplace and adapting to these changes in years to come. He is an
exuberant speaker and is commended for bringing energy to his audience; He has
been highly recommended for the insurance industry.
VIP
Sponsors will benefit from the private VIP Reception with Ryan after the
luncheon, where questions and comments will be welcomed. It will be held
underneath the covered outdoor terrace and attendees will be served drinks
while admiring the panoramic skyline view.

We
encourage attendees and vendors to keep in theme with the 60’s. Clothing, trade
show giveaways, and booth decorations should be fitting to the era. Bell-bottoms,
tie-dye clothing, and go-go boots are welcomed. Lava lamps, beaded curtains,
and peace symbols are encouraged at vendor booths. We hope you will have fun
decorating and preparing for the theme.
